Jayne Graham-McMorrow

Graphic Artist & Designer

Welcome, I am a multidisciplinary artist combining traditional making methods with digital and emerging technologies.

The project below titled Hidden Revealing, is a series of Silk-screen prints, through which I illuminate a historical figure, Anne Lister
(1791-1840). A prolific diarist, who wrote of her lesbian sexuality in a secret code devised and referred to by her as ‘crypt-hand’. Through typography as image, my work expresses and performs a relationship between her queer experiences in the nineteenth century and my own in the twenty-first century.
